anybody ever caught a trout in a stream with the BWCA.

I'm not aware of any trout streams, at least on the West side. I guess that there may be a possibility on the East side. I'd really like to know where they are if there are some.

Something goofy going on with my last post so I'll try again.

Here is a link to some maps put out by the MN DNR: trout fishing opportunities in NE MN These maps are also available as a pamphlet which I found at the Superior National Forest Headquarters in Duluth.

There are a few streams whose headwaters are in the BWCA. So technically the answer is yes. But, I don't think there are any you could really access while on a canoe trip. And while the DNR lists these streams as trout streams, that doesn't necessarily mean they are good trout fishing. (Be fun to try to find out though).

There are plenty of stream trout in lakes, and there are plenty of trout streams in the Superior Forest, not necessarily the BWCA.
