I saw those at the Farm too. It said something on the packaging like "Don't squeeze me, I'm real". I thought they looked pretty good for being dead.

I've used the Great Lakes shiners ( real ) from Wal-Mart & had great success with them when tipped on a jig & grub combo for Walleyes... not in the bwca but in the heavily fished lakes in Manitoba.

I saw them at Cabelas in Rogers to. They had all sorts of colors and leeches too. The leeches didn't look as good and preserved as the shads though.

I've used the shad before, someone left some at work and I ran off with them, they worked pretty well for northerns. No different than fresh dead minnows.

I've seen pregnant girls with shirts that say the same thing.
