Anyway, we just got back from Slim Lake (Kawishiwi Ranger District), and the Walleye were hitting really well. Our best luck was on the north and south ends of the lake, trolling a crawler harness 20-40 feet from shore. In the deeper water they seemed to like a simple leech/jig combo bounced a few feet off of bottom. Didn't hook and monsters but 15-18 inches was pretty common. |
