-Palomar for braid to lure connection. (finished with opposing half hitches for bigger lures/fish) -Trilene knot for light mono or flouro to lure/swivel connection. -Sebile or FG knot for braid to heavy flouro leader connection. -Figure 8 Tarpon Loop for heavy flouro leader to lure connection. |

Palomar for braid, but going to try the Berkley because it doesn't require going over the lure. Going to try the Alberto for braid to fluoro because it looks easy enough and I want a low profile. I hate the sound of the knot hitting the guides. |

Slim Beauty - Leader to main line. It's straight when tied and easy to tie. It will also fit through my guides. Lefty's Loop - Fixed loop to crankbait eye. Easy to tie. Doesn't prohibit the cranks action. Unlike the Rapala loop, the tag end faces toward the lure, so it doesn't collect moss or other debris. Palomar - Main line to hooks, jigs, spinners, swivels, snaps, etc... Easy to tie and very strong. I don't use it with leaders because I tend to use the leader up faster when re-ties are needed. Trilene Knot - Leader to hooks, jigs, spinners, swivels, snaps, etc... Used instead of Palomar to conserve leader. What are your favorite knots and why? |

Improved clinch for most line to hook-eye. Palomar for others. |

Gryp knot- the indispensable knot tied via a tie fast tool, for use when diameters are larger than mono double uni- excellent knot for braid- may be tough to get to stick on thin diameter (small swivels) Basically its a 1/2 uni made with a double line to a terminal end (hook/swivel). Double improved clinch- double the mono main line and tie using 3 wraps. One of the absolute strongest knots there is. Can be a bit bulky but if your getting desperate this knot is definitely an option. improved slim beauty- I use this when offshore salt water fishing using butterfly jigs Uni knot- used to join braid to FC- Typically my connection is made with 30 power pro and 40 FC for snook fishing. Doubling the braid is mandatory. Perfection loop- an excellent knot for use with FC. be advised as with any loop knot some of your strength is sacrificed |
