Leaving for this area on Wednesday. I would also appreciate any tips on fishing Agnes or LLC. Focusing on walleye.

Just about 3 weeks away from our fourth BW trip!
This will be the farthest west we have ever been.
First week of June and we have 6 days out. We will most likely have 3 days of base camp Here is the main question:
If you were doing a 6 day fishing trip to this area, which lake would you most likely base camp on and which lakes would you fish?
What fish should I be targeting in this area first week of June? I've read there are good trout on Oyster.
I would really like to catch a once-in-a-lifetime sized large or small mouth bass :)

Agnes is a very busy lake, especially in June. Most everyone entering #16 will be stopping there first day. Many folks stay on Agnes the last night of a trip as well. Just a heads up.

We fished oyster hard for a day and a half without a single bite, beautifull lake, but we got skunked. Moose river, agnes, boulder bay and river have consistently been good fishing areas and can be hot that time of year.

We went through EP 16 Moose River North to get to LLC. I've never fished Oyster but I've heard to decent reports.

Stay on Nina Moose for a night...preferable on the way out so you have an easy out. The fishing will not disappoint in early June and it will be less people than Agnes

EP16 Moose River North gets you to the east end of LLC in around 6 hours if the portages are clear. Early starts.

Great, thanks for the info. I definately want to avoid the crowds. I figured Agnes was busy based on its proximity to and EP and all the camp sites. I wasn't planning to base there, maybe just paddle thru on our way in or our. I was considering Oyster as more of a base camp lake, or going up north from oyster to green or even gebeonequet.
What EP did you use when you made LLC in 7 hrs? Just curious. We are entering at little indian sioux and it looks like 4-5 hours to Shell, 8-9 hours to oyster. Trying to decide how far we will make it on day 1. That may very well determine where we go and base from.
