I have dozens of them in a big zip lock baggie. When we enter, I'll get everything lashed in the canoe(s) I know we'll need them for, then hand a few to everyone before leaving the truck.

OK, I am going to make myself look like a noob but I have seen mention of BDBs several times in different posts and from how it is used I am guessing it is some type of fastener or rope or cord?

What exactly does BDB stand for and what is it? I am sure once some one explains it will hit me like a ton of bricks at how obvious it is and I should have figured it out. Yet, here I sit in ignorance...lol. Please help me.

You did not mention that "Old Scout" is also a member here. Other than that small "problem", he's a good friend!

well he had a good idea! I have used bungee's before but always trying to get the slack out by wrapping 10 times or stretching across the canoe....these with the slide/stop look like they would be perfect and I am guessing why I see them mentioned so much. If I see him in a post I will drop him a thank you.

Awesome, thank you! I have a home made version of these but not as nice. These make me wonder why I never thought of that. I ordered 8 for my trip next week. Now I will be watching the mailbox again...HA!

You know, if I bought a couple dozen more, I'd probably have them all in use in a couple of weeks? One of those things that you just can't seem to have too many of?

Your post reminded me to order some more. They are great and can be used for a lot of things around camp, and probably home too.
