Haven't tried the cubes, and have always been a Via fan, but this year I received an Amazon gift card for Christmas and intend to order either, or both, the Single Serve disposable coffee filters or One Fresh Coffee Filters , or possibly these nifty Tribo Coffee Singles I saw Shug review in one of his videos.

I go with Medaglia D'Oro Instant Espresso Coffee. I've seen it at Target too. No cream or sugar, a nice strong flavor!

I love coffee, and I always enjoy seeing another thread about coffee. I have a way I like to prepare mine camping, but it seems to change around every couple years. I tried Via last summer and didn't really care for it compared to using grounds but would be glad to give it and any other instant a second try. I am certainly impressed by the coffee cubes website - thats some quality work. And for 5 clams shipped, I think I'll try it.

Maybe next fall if I can get to the Wingnight weekend, it would be fun to bring 5 or 6 of the popular instant brands and do some blind taste testing? I've organized blind taste testing with wines, beers, steaks, butter, and even milk - people often are surprised by what they like when they don't know which is which!!

Uh, no.
looks like instant coffee, flavoring, and sugar formed into a cube.

Side note I just got an order of "Black Rifle Coffee", just had to!

I tried a box of the Jiva cubes. They were OK but I don’t like sugar in my coffee.
I went back to Starbucks Via packets for when I must do instant coffee.

Yup no sugar for me either. I'm cool with the Via on a canoe trip. I like the blonde roast for their regular plain coffee and Via but like their bitter brand when getting a Latte.

Butthead, how do you like the black rifle?

I didn't think the black had any sugar, but apparently it does. I'll stick with my Via.

Have not yet tried it need to use up last grind I did.
I like my coffee strong and black (almost straight espresso), often with vanilla or cinnamon, no cream sugar or such. I like it with the oils intact unfiltered, brewed cowboy style or French press. Got 3 bags of various dark roast to grind. Pretty sure it'll do me fine.

"raw cane sugar (Panela)" and the always trusted "organic" "free trade" are the customer grabs. Organic free trade mean nothing in the coffee and cocoa buisness. Panela is a trendy name for dark unrefined cane sugar. Makes the cube pressing a simple process.

I'm not an instant coffee person. But I took a look. It says the black has cane sugar, but apparently it is a non sweet variety and used as a binder. I do like my coffee with cream and sugar.

I am intrigued by it, though. I'm interested to hear from someone that has tried it.

As the old saying goes, and I've read on this site before....

What's the best cup of coffee?

The one somebody else gets up and makes before you're out of your sleeping bag.

Couldn't get Starbucks Vias at Wal Mart so I had my wife get some Nescafé Classico instant dark roast for some quick coffee when I am gone weekends.......Surprisingly good!
