I looked up the Colder (CPC) fittings for the disconnect valve I need. I didn’t order one as they are hard to figure out proper size and range greatly in price.
So, I got creative. I have two 2L Outdoor Products hydration bags that we no longer use. The fittings are the same size but not the same length as the CPC fittings. So I took the OP disconnect off it’s tube, screwed them into my Sawyer tubes, and will now be able to connect those bags as my “dirty” bags. I’ll have to do it twice to get my 4L bag filled, so I’ll just bring both OP bags. I’ll also lose a little water since the port on the OP bags faces up instead of down, and gravity won’t push the water fully out the tube, but that’s only a few ounces lost per bag.
A little more weight and a few extra minutes of time swapping bags, but I’ll happily deal with that to save the $.

My clean bag got a hole and my filter sucks. Maybe we should just trip together?
Seriously, though, I ended up making a new system with a sea to summit big river bag, the appropriate bulkhead fitting, and a sawyer mini filter. It doesn’t have the clean storage capacity but is much smaller and lighter. Email me if you want more info. You could adapt my system to replace your dirty bag, and make it bigger if you want to. Finding the right fittings was half the problem.

Ok, this is a bit of a long shot, but Sawyer has discontinued their 4L Gravity Filter system. One of my dogs chewed on the connection port for the "unfiltered" bag, and destroyed the plastic snap fitting there that allows it to hook to the filtration hose. The rest of the system is in great shape, and I really don't want to have to replace it. Sawyer's customer service reps don't have any good ideas for me on how to fix this other than moving on to a newer system.
So here's what I'm wondering, and this is quite a long shot- does anyone have this filter system and no longer use it? I would happily buy your gray unfiltered water bag and pay for the shipping.
Otherwise I'm going to try and rig up something keeps the hose in place to allow the unfiltered water to get into the hose. The trick is that is has to fit the nozzle on the bag. Duct tape to the rescue?

Wables: "The fittings that Sawyer uses are called Colder fittings. I ordered them through US Plastics. "
Good tip, thanks.

I was going to suggest that you look at the "Camelbak HydroLink Filter Adapter" that I used several years ago when I put my DIY gravity filter together, but it looks like the adapter has been discontinued. Perhaps you can find something like it that might work.

If ya want it I have a spare old style 3l Camelback bladder you can have. No hydrolock on it but the outlet tube is the right size to connect to your hose.

Edit: Wrong system, it was the Platypus. Mine cracked and they sent out a replacement for both bags. I use the Platy bags with a Sawyer mini filter. I will probably get a CNOC bag or something similar for this year.

I would use any bag available then find a solution to connect to the Sawyer at the filter or to the hose just above the filter. I used MSR Dromedary bags for my dirty water w/Sawyer squeeze filters for a few years.

Hydroblue 10L water bag

Thank you- the Hydroblue apprears to have the same fittings as my current hoses. I'm going to check out some stores around here for options, and if I don't find any, I'll have to order one and give it a try.
