I believe the Galt tandem was the Egret. It has flare the entire length of the hull. It was popular for tandem freestyle in its day and well suited for that purpose. Probably not many made. I think he used cypress on some of his boats. I think it is worthy of repair. I don't think "restoration" with original materials would bring any more value to the boat. How much you want for it "as is"?

Here is the Egret in one of the early freestyle competitions. Freestyle has come a long way since, but those early days were fun with lots of new ideas born every gathering. The flare of this hull and the secondary stability it produces is impressive. Mike and Marilue were not small folks and they were putting the rail to water all the time.
