The AGAWA is nice but have not used one. Sven saws are light and that's about it, the triangle the saw makes extremely cuts down on the actual ability to cut wood, you have to go big to get a cut. That being said I bought the Bob Drustude (?spelling) saw and would never look back. Comes in couple of different lengths depending on your needs. Lightweight and a lot of ability to cut bigger trees for splitting up. I put the saw and extra blades in a CPVC pipe and its packed away and don't worry about any bending of the saw. That's my opinion.

I have an Agawa Boreal 21, a Silky Big Boy, and had a Sven 15. I never used the Sven, I had it for several years then sold it. I used for Agawa on a couple trips, I broke a blade each time "assembling it incorrectly". It has a learning curve. The Silky Big Boy is like using a chain saw, but quieter. It cuts like a hot knife through soft butter. It's a dream to use.

Sven 15 when I care about weight/space. Irwin Marathon when I don't.

After using the 15, I went with a Sven 20. Longer stroke and easier to cut some larger diameter logs.

If you are looking for a long stroke and decent throat with a traditional saw- get the Bob Dustrude 30" quick buck saw. Most of the canoe outfitting websites have it. Doesn't seem to get as much credit on here as I think it should, but I wouldn't get anything else. Easy two man saw as well, the Agawa saw looks nice, but without the symmetric shape, doesn't excel for a two person.

I've been a Sven saw guy for years. Just took my new Silky Bigboy on it's first trip. Loved it. I think it will be my choice for my fall solo.

That has been my experience with the Sven. It sits waiting to be sold when I get to listing it and other stuff. The blade(s) are new but I didn't like the bowing & bending at first attempt. I collapsed it, stored, and haven't used it since.
Use a big boy now.

I was looking for a new saw, and ordered a Silke Big Boy. When it showed up today it was way bigger than I thought it was, but not too heavy. I made a video cutting a 2x4 for my tripping buddy. The video was 14 seconds, less than 1/2 of which was cutting. Very impressed.

Silky Katanaboy makes the quickest work of any non motorized saw I've ever seen or used. Worth it's $$ tag as all great gear is.

I have a Sawvivor saw that I have used for 15 trips, and I am looking for a new one. I am looking for a collapsible saw with a larger saw stroke. Please share the best one, thank you.

I had a Sawvivor for a long time, but it finally died on a trip last summer. I replaced it with a Silky Bigboy, mainly thinking of more cutting power for a trip to WCPP. If you want something sort of similar to the Sawvivor, take a look at the Agawa Canyon-Boreal - I don't have one but have heard great things. There's also a sizeable contingent here who love their Irwins. I have one and was not as impressed as some, but it's simplicity can be an advantage.

I've had the Sven for a number of years now and very happy with packability and effectiveness. They make a 15" and a 21" version.
