I have a 10' x 14' CCS and they are roomy for two people and comfortable for 4. I wouldn't go any smaller than a 10' x 14'. They are great tarps.

Nope but have occasionally. I treat tarp rigging as basket weaving in an institution. It enables my conversations with trees and stumps!
Thank You!

Difficult to combine those two tarps. One (CCS) is a rectangle with seams parallel with the straight sides, and the Noah’s has seams on the diagonal with catenary cut sides. You would somehow have to overlap.

Butthead, do you live in a tarp shelter? You have some of the most interesting tarp configurations. You are the true tarp master. I've learned so much by reading your posts!

Best to practice what you intend to do in your backyard before you go. Like butthead said marrying up a flat tarp to a shaped tarp will most likely not be a clean setup.
The devil will be in the details of how you intend to overlap or join then . May be best to have two separate tarp set ups.

If I had to buy my CCS tarp again, I would buy something bigger. I usually travel with 4 to 8 people. I'd go with a 10X14 or 12X12. No matter what size, Dan makes great products!

My 10x10 CCS is good for 2, but not much more than that. My 10x16 with a center ridge line kept 4 of us and our gear cozy on a wet day last summer. Would have been fine with 6 people without all the gear. With groups of 6 I bring both.

Thanks for the idea of setting the two tarps up in the backyard. I think this dog will hunt until I order another tarp from you!

Sorry, I can't figure out how to rotate the photo.

Have used Grip Clips to join 2 tarps and several other uses. A Google search for tarp clips or grip clips will add other styles. Never tried to attach a shaped tarp like a Kelty Noahs to a flat cut, should work though the shaped side will not hang evenly.

A CCS and a Kondos tarp cliped together and suspended umbrella syle,

Just a bunch used overlapping for the crappy weather,

I have a 10X10 CCS tarp and access to a Noah's Tarp #9. Are there any suggestions on how to use these two tarps together? We will have eight in our party. Photos would be great. Thanks!

10x14 ccs it is. I’ll likely go with the 1.9 weight tarp.

The ridge line bag looks interesting...

Thanks everyone!
