I'm upgrading my 1st Aid kit and will be including an irrigation syringe for flushing wounds. Is one better than others?

On a resent trip to Ontario a buddy stabbed his finger with a filet knife. I would have wanted a better first aid kit. Next year I bringing a syringe to flush, saline solution.
