Not as well in the examples I looked at, if you consider the use of 850 or 950 fill no where near as compressible. Apex is a batt or sheet. It is easier to clean and does offer insulation when wet, less expensive, but heavier.

Enlightened Equipment Has had my interest last few years, lots of options and style choices. Cottage industry in Winona MN. Very interesting is the Convert sleeping bag
I do not own one yet, but----------
Lots of other makers around, I just think the EE options, styles available and customization better.

For a ground sleeper and summer temps, consider a simple down throw. Because they are a simple design, you should be able to get one suitably sized for you in the $50-100 range.
If you feel you need a shaped quilt with footbox, I have been extremely satisfied with my Hammock Gear quilts. Choose a wide for ground sleeping. 40* weight would be sufficient May thru September.

A second vote for Enlightened Equipment, but look at their APEX fill instead of down.

Technically true, but in summer weights I think the weight difference is insignificant especially in light of the cost savings. Anyway, the company's website has all the info for comparison. " Yea the weight difference for summer weight is very little. I'm more concerned with the pack size difference. I can't find a good comparison. I use compression sacks

Well, nothing is as compressible as good down if that's your standard. My 40 degree EE quilt is what I use for backpacking in warmer/shoulder seasons, and to supplement my down winter bag when the temps will be down to zero F. It packs very small.

Shoot, if you're using compression sacks I'd go with the Apex. You're never going to notice a difference in size once they're compressed. But, what's insignificant to me might matter to you, so just one person's opinion. To me down is worth the cost for a winter bag, but not for warmer times.
