I'm 5'11.5 inches. My biggest complaint with tents is when I place my air pad in it my feet/ sleeping bag always touch the tent. I own the Hilleberg Nammatj2, Copper spur HV2 and Copper spur HV3. The HV3 is my go to tent now. The 90 inch length makes all the difference to me. I've tested the Copper Spur HV UL 2 in 35 mph winds and it held with no problems. The Nammatji has been through 50+ mph nights on exposed rock and I never worried, but it is just to big a hassle to set up daily. I am very happy with the HV UL3 and believe it is the perfect balance of ease of set up, durability, and weight.

How many will be in the tent? Generally for comfort figure two men in a four-man tent. I only have experience with the BA Copper Spur UL4 and would highly recommend it. Plenty of room, well made, two vestibules and weighs in at 104 oz. with footprint.

Just myself, maybe a dog at times. I just like keeping my gear nearby incase of inclement weather. So I've been looking at 2 and 3 person.

So I've been overly researching tents and wanted to grab a few opinions. Below are my options I've narrowed it down too. What I am looking for is a roomy tent (I'm 6'4"), vestibule space to store my pack, good air flow to reduce condensation, easy set up and durable. It'll only be myself or a dog in the tent.
1 - Kuiu Mountain Star 2P
2 - Hilleberg Allak/Kaitum 2P
3 - Mountain Hardwear Ghost Sky 2P
4 - Big Agnes Copper Hotel HV UL2
Hilleberg is by far the most expensive but I have two BWCA trips planned this year and a fly fishing trip in colorado. I'm looking for a solid tent I can do it all in. From backcountry elk hunts to canoeing the BWCA.

I like Big Agnes so I'd have to go with that one.

The bigger the better depending on the length of trip travel wise. With just one or two people, take a 4 man tent for each person. The extra space is always useful and the privacy when traveling with another is very important for us. If base camping, extra gear has a home at the site as well. Also, there is usually room in the 4 person tent to stand at least in the center. A light chair can be used at night in the tent for reading and the light will not bother anyone. Put a protective pad or insulate the leg base with a tennis ball or kitchen chair rubber coverings to save tent bottom from tears or general wear. If in a canoe, the extra items and size do not really matter if base camping.

You said you narrowed down your choices but another " Cottage Industry" tent company to look at is Tarptent. Relatively reasonably priced with many options. I really love my Bowfin 1. I'm looking to get the Scarp 1 soon. Many 2 person models if that's your thing. Don't let the semi free standing throw you. These tents are super easy to set up and are very BW worthy. Check them out

Lot of choices but have you looked into some of the cottage industry stuff? I have almost 5 years use with a Big Sky Chinook 91 inches end to end, solo, solo+, 2 person and customize-able offering choices of materials, poles, interiors, sod cloth, and other things. A site search will bring up a list of my posts on this tent Very compact in a pack, variable weights. I have an all fabric and a mesh interior a set of HD Easton poles and light DAC poles making my solo a solid 4 season tent. If you look at this company check the specials for inventory reductions available now.
