It is until you get older and your body ain't what it used to be. I paid 150 for a Big Agnes Big Six Camp Chair and would gladly do so again.

Yes, price is more than double what I paid for my first 2 chairs. Then again I paid about $40.00 for my Alite Mayfly chair and see one just sold for $338.00 plus shipping. It really depends on your prespective.

Interesting 1970's technology, but I'll stick with my Helinox Sunset chair.

Michael Kinziger speaks very highly of them in his book. He shows it at 14 ozs in his gear list.

I purchased 2 Sling-Light chairs in late 1980 and used them for camping, sporting events, and leisure. They were the best portable chairs I have ever owned. Both chairs were eventually broken due to missuse. One lasted about 15 years and the other 26 years. No longer in production I ended up replacing them with Alite Mayfly chairs.

I just noticed that the Sling-Light chairs are available in a limited production run by the original manufacturer. I felt others may remember the chairs and be interested in knowing that they are available again so I posted.
