Love my Placid Boatworks Rapidfire--best boat I've ever owned and I had a couple dozen. My only complaint about the boat is the seat. They do offer different height options, but the seat is the same contour for all their seats and for a bigger guy like me it's not all the comfortable even when using a piece of foam or a mine thermarest pad. So, I'm wondering what some options might me. I know Redfish makes some really nice custom seats made from mini-cell foam, and I did make a really nice mini-cell foam set for my Pygmy Borealis. But wondering if there are other options out there that are comfy, reasonably priced, lightweight, and reasonably durable.

Thanks!

... Could give the Cooke Custom Sewing deluxe seat pad a try. I have one in the bow for my wife. Our Northwind 17 has already excellent seats but she likes it extra soft. The side pockets are deep and can hold a nalgene or tallboy. Apologies, the installed image is upside down as I set it up while the canoe was hanging in its rack.
