A boat close to it would be a better choose. Something that is symmetrical so you can sit in the bow seat and paddle it backwards. |

I know it’s not an ideal boat for either tandem or solo but with that bit of extra tumblehome it sure looks better than the Solo Plus to paddle solo, right? Thanks in advance for your replies. Best! Ben |

That's what I was worried about. I'd still like to be able to get a 2/3 day tandem trip out of her when needed but I'm usually paddling with another middle aged and middle sized fella and was worried about the size. I've had a Canak which is essentially a decked Prism and liked it quite a bit. The hope with the Escapade was that I could Solo with my dog and still get in a short trip with a buddy every once in a while. Perhaps it's just better to go with the Polaris... Appreciate the feedback. |
