goetzc: "I know I've seen a youtube video about how to fix the old sticky sole issue... and others on replacing the sole I think.
They are expensive enough investments it might be worth trying to fix yourself or sell as is to someone else willing to try the fix.
What size are they? I might be interested. :)"

Thanks goetzc- I'll look into it. Keeping them :)

I have my original pair of Steger Mukluks that I bought in 2009. They were well loved, and I had the rubber and front leather repaired to extend their life. They now have holes in the rubber and the sole has gotten sticky from storage.

I can't bring myself to toss them, and am thinking of ways to reuse the materials. I can repurpose the leather string and wool easily enough, and am thinking of making the canvas into a little bathroom tote.

Has anybody reused their old Mukluks in a creative way??
