A quick google search shows they were made by the BlackRiver Plastics Company in the 70's and they were Fiberglass boats.

Hello,
I have just purchase used a Black River Canoe. I don't know much about it and neither did the previous owner. I'm trying to find out more information about it. It is the Packer model and is 13 feet long. It weighs 39 pounds. I am wondering what the material is: fibreglass or kevlar or both? As well as what year it was made. Does anyone know anything about this boat?
