Alps Mountaineering offers the Mystique a close copy, but they screwed the door zipper with the pull starting at the foot end. I used a 1.5 for several years. Otherwise a good solo tent at a reasonable cost. One thing I really liked about the Mystique was a short 13 inch pole set. butthead |

A rather rare 4 season 3 person Walrus tent. All the parts? I had 2 Walrus tents. A Hurricane Hole tunnel tent and a Lite-Star. Walrus, Moss, Garuda were part of the forming of Seirra Designs/MSR. Campers back when those tents were made didn't mind tight quarters, plus it helps keeping warm at altitude. butthead |

It's interesting to dig into the history and relationship among North Face, Dana, Sierra Design, Moss Tent, Garuda, and the evolution of Cascade Designs, MSR, REI, Big Agnes One name pops up often with a bunch of outdoor equipment designers and companies, Bob Swanson, aka "Bob The Tent Guy" butthead |

This will be a trip down memory lane for those of us old enough to remember but still too young to have forgotten. ;-) First we have to dress for the journey: The Story of the Sierra Designs 60/40 Mountain Parka |

The Sierra Designs High Side 1 looks great, very similar with some improvements, but so far I can't stomach the Starfleet Academy color scheme that Sierra Designs has adopted recently: |
