Need a photo. It depends on how much damage was done to the gel coat. In really good condition it may be worth $600, with the shortages of everything it may be worth more.I was at REI the other day. They had no canoes in stock

Sanding vinyl exterior was a bad move. Painting vinyl is always a difficult proposition anyway, especial a material that will be in the water, flexed a lot and rubbed on rocks.

Royalex boats are bring good prices these days, but the sanding is a big negative.

If the bottom is still stiff that would be a plus.

I would list at $600 and expect to except less due to the sanding.

Hi everyone, I am itching to buy a new boat. In order to justify it, I have to sell off another.

Currently in my fleet, I have an early-mid 2000s royalex mad river freedom solo, and I'm having a hard time determining its value.

Cosmetically, it's ok. The boat is sound, and paddles like it should. However, the prior owner sanded it down, with the intention of painting it camouflage for duck hunting, the marks from the sandpaper are not that visible these days after some applications of 303.

I'd say it's a esthetically a 5 out of 10(maybe a 6).

I want to throw this guy up on Craigslist, but don't know where to value it.

Would 600 be fair? Or am I shooting for the moon?

Thanks!
