Had a 2010 17 ft Penobscot listed at 65lb ,ended up being 67 lb. I think some people get the non Royalex Penobscot confused with the Royalex model. HUGE difference.

So, about the same. And so as not to confuse anyone, mine was also an RX or Royalex model, as I should have stated.

I’m looking at a used 1998 17’ Penobscot in Royalex. The owner says it’s 75 lbs. I know the “newer” Royalex Penobscot 17s were 65 lbs. Does anyone know if that changed at some point or if the owner could be wrong? Thanks!

Old Town seemed to be always be low on their stated weights. I have two Penobscots that both weight 10 lbs heavier than they "should." I think others have reported agreement with Old Town. If the seller actually weighed it, I would tend to believe that more than Old Town.
