A couple weeks ago in the BWCA, I was an idiot, not for the first time nor for the last, and in my knuckleheaded obstinacy cracked the handle on my ZRE paddle. Taped up with Gorilla tape and paddled out fine. Sent it to its birthplace for repair. Total turnaround time of 9 days, and that's including time in the hands of the USPS on both ends. Good as new. This knucklehead just wanted to share - good folks at ZRE. Darn nice paddle too. For those 9 days my BB Special bent shaft has felt like a lead-filled war club... |

When shifting the canoe (was upside-down near the landing), I got frustrated when it kept slipping as I tried to reposition it. Used manly strength to show it who was boss. Karma decided that the boss could pay to repair his paddle. |
