You've got a Shadow 14.6. Nice boat. Can you take a pic of the "weave material on the side"?

Quite a bit of info on this site if you do a site search. Also info on paddling.net with a search. There are some people in here that own a number of them and quite a bit of info. Lots of little solo models, mostly just for day paddling and freestyle. Only a couple of tripper models and there were two tandem models. There were Gold versions (Kevlar blend) and Silver versions (fiberglass blends) for the various models.

Can anyone help me with Blackhawk canoe info. I just purchased a solo 14'6 canoe. Serial number ends in 92, I assume it is the year. Starts with BLQ. This canoe had very littke use and really lightweight. Has a weave material on the side but do not believe it is kevlar but possibly.

Yes...probably a Shadow. 3 Shadow lengths I believe. 11-7, 13 and 14-6. Also had the SS Special at 15-8 (Slightly different but was considered a Shadow). Blackhawk was in business from 90 to 95 in Janesville, wi.

Based on the coarseness of the inner fabric weave, I wonder if it is fiberglass roving.

How much does she weigh?

Nice boat! Are you a kneeler (yet)?
