This probably isn't helpful... but... this year we were shooting a gap between an island and peninsula with a heavy tailwind... we got close enough and realized the low water level was too low. Ended up teetering on a couple rocks for a few breakers as I one footed us out of there.
The next day, I noticed a large angular dent in the bottom of the canoe (SR Q17). Was pretty upset with my decision making. My infant and toddler played inside the canoe while it was resting on a grassy spot the following day and their weight must have removed the deformity... not sure if that will happen again, but it didn't come back on its own the rest of the trip.
So maybe let a few toddlers play inside it while on the grass or your best resource is like Souris River itself...

I would guess that the aluminum gunwales are bent / twisted or hardware related to seats and thwarts are bent. The hull is likely fine. If you try to straighten it I would focus there. I would start by removing the seats and thwarts and see if anything changes. If not, remove the gunwales and see if that fixes it. They can be easily riveted back on.

Always a good idea to use a bubble-level to calibrate/adjust whatever you are using (sawhorses, etc.) upon which you lay your canoe for storage...so that they are equally level. Helps to prevent twisting.

I bought a used Souris River Quetico at end of the season from an outfitter. Not until the next year did I notice that the canoe has a twist. Used two winding sticks on the gunwales and it is definite. Pulls to right when paddling. Not sure how to straighten. Any ideas?
