I have a Wenonah Spirit II that has some fuzzing on the keel at both stems. Over all I've kept the canoe in good shape but I'd like to reseal both ends of the keel to keep the fuzzing at bay. I've done a bunch of searching online and I'm leaning towards trying the West System 105/207 epoxy. Just wondering if others have done the same and how it turned out or if there are any tips to make the repair look descent and be long lasting? Thanks! |

I hadn't thought of truck undercoating, might have to try that once I seal in the fuzzed area with epoxy. When you decide to redo the spray undercoating does the old undercoating peel off? |

I just applied after trimming the fuzzed Kevlar threads. butthead |

Spray can rubberized truck bed coating, or vinyl peel spray paint. Whatever you use do not sand the frayed area, trim the fuzz flush with a pair of shear/scissors first. butthead |
