Jasonf: " Nice setup. |

You could always make a portable one. I made this one for my kevlar that clamps onto the gunwales but I'm sure it would work for almost any rental. For portaging with gear, I clamp it on right behind the bow paddlers seat and then move it behind the yoke when fishing. |

Scotty Gunnel Clamp: https://scotty.com/product/433-coaming-gunnel-clamp-mount/ Scotty Transducer Mount (needs to be the 140 to work with the gunnel clamp, not the 141): https://scotty.com/product/no-140-kayak-sup-transducer-arm-mount-for-post-mounts/ Hawkeye Fishtrax 1c (only needs AA batteries to run, instead of a heavy battery rig): https://hawkeyeelectronics.com/collections/fishtrax-series/products/fishtrax-1c-fish-finder You can get the Fishtrax with transducer arm as a package from Hawkeye, but the arm is not the one that will work with the gunnel clamp and is made for kayaks/sups with the built in receiver. Same Scotty clamp will worth with the scotty rod holder. |

Eric, I do like how the SealLine bag snaps downward rather than in a rolled circle like most bags. What model bag is that? |

Arm is easy to swing out of the water and detach. It is all kept off on actually travel days with gear when not fishing. Worth noting this Patagonia bag as well that can easily attach to the thwart and can just fit a Plano 3450-23 Double Sided lure box to keep it out of a messing canoe bottom or making noise left sliding around. I would advise caution if you're planning to use the transducer arm. I found that it really creates a lot of drag, some noise, and it accumulates seaweed and algae and milfoil like crazy. I went back to thru-hull |

Blackdogyak: "I'm thinking about making something similar. I use a pipe strap for the tranducer arm. Cuts like a knife. |

Jasonf: " Hello really like your console. Will attempt to replicate yours for my Souris River. Do you have the specific details and or diagram you could share with me? Thanks much |

I mount the FishTrax display to the thwart with this Scotty portable camera mount (the FishTrax display has a standard camera mount on the bottom). The mount comes with the clamp shown in the second photo of the Amazon listing. I use this Scotty rod holder when I need/want a rod holder, typically just when I'm dragging my Pink Lady for Lake Trout. The mounts all stay on for portaging. Everything else slips into the top of a pack or my tackle bag. |
