There is an outdoor store/outfitter in Grand Maria's that rents a SPOT. Forget the name. Nope, I remember. Stone harbor

You could try the outdoor program at UMD in Duluth:

Check Sawtooth Outfitters on Hwy 61 to see if they have any available. You'll drive right past it on your way up to the Gunflint.

I believe we typically use these guys and have never had a problem doing it all by mail: https://www.oerentals.com/product/delorme-inreach-explorer-plus/

Going up this Friday to Seagull, coming from the Fairmont, MN area. Our outfitter doesn't rent satellite phones or inReach's, and we would like one or both for the trip. Been tripping for 25 years, understand the pro's and con's. Anyone know of good options for week long rental in the Twin Cities, Duluth, or on our way to Seagull?

Thank you.

I've been renting GPS devices (Spot, Bivy Stick) from Jon Klein at Satellite Phone Solutions for 10+ years. Prices are fair, and service is excellent. He always gets the device to my home in WI in plenty of time for me to take it on my trip.

While he's located in Florida, if you call on Monday morning and Jon has a phone available, he would get it to you in time. And he'd let you know if it wasn't a possibility.
