Kermit	06/11/2022 03:44PM   It was incredibly easy to replace the stern seat. All I had to do was buy a replacement web/wood seat, shear off four rivets that held the old tractor seat to the brackets, measure and cut the new seat. Then I lined up the holes with those already in the bracket for the front, but had to drill new holes in the metal bracket in the back, and secured everything with four bolts and nuts. Took me an hour working at a slow pace. It's a bit more difficult to replace the sliding front seat. I'm told on Wenonah's the web seat uses a different size slider system so it's not as easy as taking off the tractor seat and replacing it with the web/wood version. I feel like you could remove the plastic tractor seat from the existing metal tubes that slide along the brackets, the fashion some way to connect a standard web/wood seat to those, but I've not tried myself. My wife, who mostly paddles in the bow, assures me she's fine with tractor seat so it stays. Here's a few photos of the before and after:
colecudd	06/11/2022 12:02PM   Thanks Kermit, I was considering swapping the tractor seats as well. How difficult was it to swap the seats? I have no experience with that. I have always used web seats too with the GSI framed canoe seat. Surprisingly, the cost for crazy creek seats are almost as much as just replacing the tractor seats with webbed seats.

Kermit	06/11/2022 10:33AM   The contoured tractor style seats from Crazy Creek and the like work okay, but they're not great. You almost have to take another piece of high density foam (like a ridge rest pad, or something similar) and cut it to fill in the seat a little. Then put that under the Crazy Creek seat before you strap it in. Northstar sells a version that is just the backing, no seat cushion, but I've no experience with it. Looks interesting though. I swapped out the stern tractor seat on my Spirit II for web bench seat and enjoy it much better.

Thanks, Cole" I’ve had CushGear Backsaver seats for my MN II for many, many years and I’ve been very happy with them. I got to meet Cush a couple years ago. He stands behind his product.
