I've paddled the Baboosic solo. Very nice boat but not exactly right for me (a bit too wide and not quite efficient enough). My take is that their boats may be a bit heavier than others and may not be the latest and greatest designs ((I think most or all of their boats are symmetric) but they are beautiful and solid so if you find a model that fits your needs then there's no reason to avoid their boats.

Not looking to purchase; just curious about anyone's experience with them Thanks!

BWCA66 Has a lot of personal experience with Merrimack, in fact he used to build them from what I understand. He posts more on the Canoe Tripping forum. I have a hard time finding members posts on this forum, but he would be a great resource.

Um, I’ve hauled a bunch of them starting with original owner Randy Pew in Tennessee. The next owner was a disgrace... then they came to Minnesota with a good bunch at Sanborn in Winona.

Pretty sure goldenbadger bought one a few years ago. I don't recall seeing any posts from her recently.

I saw the Merrimack canoes at Copia, and I gotta say, they make some really nice looking boats. I am wondering if anyone here has any experience with these canoes.
