Those look great, and the bags are waterproof too! I’m not sure my machine would be able to get through the thickness of a pfd. I’ll have to do some experimenting. Thanks for the idea.

I did try a few searches, but didn’t come up with anything. I too, am not sure about the bag size or water resistance, but at under $45 it might be worth ordering to try it. Thanks,

I have a 75 pound dog who likes to eat so we make her carry some of her food when we portage. She wears a pack with removable bags, so we remove the bags while she is in the canoe. While I would like her to wear a PFD, especially on big rough water, my husband just says, she’s a dog and can swim. And there’s the huge hassle of changing between the PFD and pack repeatedly.

So what I’m looking for is dog PFD with removable pack bags. Does it exist???

I stand corrected!

However to my eye the sadddlebags look very small. The measurements they give are clearly not for the bags, but rather the whole contraption.
