I recently purchased a used Katadyn pocket filter and I was wondering if there is any way to test it. It has a ceramic filter and there are no visible cracks. The filter is hardly used, but I just want to be sure it's filtering properly. I seem to remember a video I watch where the guy used done dye drops and the filtered water came out clear. Thanks |

I bought mine new, and it came with a small gauge that measured the diameter of the ceramic filter--if it is able to be slipped over the filter, then it is suggested that the filter is worn out. You might want to check for that small gauge. The filter wears down as it is cleaned, I think. Good luck! |
