That's great, the more hikers the better! The trail is cleared an hikable north up to Pose Lake and west to Marathon Lake. Areas around the Lake 3 - horseshoe portage are also cleared. Have a great hike - bring gps.

Just got back from a clearing trip, it's very different from anywhere else I've been in the BWCA. As of the end of this weekend's work, you can get eleven miles from the trailhead to Superstition Lake with only about a quarter-mile uncleared section just east of Campfire Lake, and apparently they've been canoeing in and clearing from Lake Three down toward Superstition as well. It may be possible to get all the way from the trailhead to the Lake Three portage without bushwhacking this summer. Just be sure to bring lots of sunscreen and have plenty of water, as there's no tree cover at all for the vast majority of the trail.
