Excellent video as always Shug. Gives me the itch to get out into the woods.

Mr. Shug, I really liked this video!!! I did the disappointment/oldpines trails in early summer 2021 summer and it brought me right back to being out there.

(And there is no better place than out there, solo in the BWCA!)

By the way, thanks for _all_ the videos, it really inspired me to explore this part of the world as an young-old guy, coming late to the game in his 50s. As I was humbly getting my ass-kicked in early summer on the trails, I was also thinking --- how great to be able to have this experience out in the wild... and how great to crash out each night in a sweet sweet hammock hang. :)

(I even had a great dry baked birthday cake on the shores of Parent Lake on my way back, a hard-earned but wonderful way to pass into a new year.)

Such luck we have to be alive and able to enjoy (and endure) the BWCA on foot and in hammock!

Best wishes to you as the days get colder. I am starting to ponder a deep winter trip for 2021/2022... hope there are trips on your horizon, as well.

Thanks again for the video. (I remember the beaver pond you paused beside and the degraded-and-barely-standing trail sign at the conjunction at the Kek/Disappointment... thanks for letting me relive that experience!)

Couple of nights out up into the recently re-opened Boundary Waters Canoe Area out of Ely, Minnesota. Took the Snowbank Trail to Kekekabic Trail to Moiyaka Lake. Camped the night. Then did the Old Pines Trail back to Disappointment Trail. Camped. Then hiked out. Good couple of nights slumber in the SuperiorGear Starlite hammock. The ULA OHM toted my load wonderfully.

Thankee Jamie.
Loved the Old Pines. Been waiting for years to traipse that trail.
Those are tough trails out there. Those rocks all over and slippery when wet. As a 63 year old guy I just don't want to fall. Too much work to get up....haaa

Seen some of my best sunsets from Parent Lake.
Whooooooo Buddy)))))
