So I only ended up being able to do about 5 miles of the trail because of an emergency back home. Had to double back and head out. I hiked 5 miles from the entry up the west side of the trail. Trail was in good condition - only 3-4 blowdown, and they were all easy to get around/over/under without much effort. After such a dry summer, it was nice to see the trail was its normal "damp." A few small mud holes, but nothing too bad.
Leaves were not quite at peak yet. Next weekend might be it.

I'm going this weekend. Will report back. My guess is that it is in good shape. It's a popular trail.

Forgot to mention that at some point in the past year they took out the boardwalk over Spring Creek. That was in pretty serious disrepair, so it is an easier crossing now than it was last year. They built a small bridge over the actual creek crossing.

Wondering if anyone has hiked the trail recently and what kind of shape it was in. I am taking my 10yo around it in a couple weeks.

Cool, I look forward to seeing that. I know last year when I went around the boardwalk was sketchy in some places.

Sounds great. Thanks for reporting back. We are heading in on the 7th. Hopefully there is still a few leaves left.
