Well I did a few miles of the Kek a few years back, it was October. Was on the Ely Side. Pack accordingly to say warm. I had a Zero Degree bag and was fine. Used a tarp set up. I'd have to get my maps out to remember exactly where I camped. Nice campsite next to a lake. I remember some sleet and snow in the middle of the night, had to get up and ziptie a poncho to my tarp on one end to keep the moisture from coming in.

Probably heading to the Kek at the end of this month. Anybody been out there recently? Any advice? I'll likely be starting at Snowbank and heading east before heading back west.
I've walked Snowback/Old Pines in May, canoed BWCA in mid September, and walked part of BRT in October... so I kinda know the area and kinda know what's possible with weather -- but always looking to learn more, especially before I go!
Any Kek stories?
