Should be fine, but then I start my lake swimming Memorial Day weekend

In certain areas with shallow water on sunny days, the water can be quite warm. Definitely fine for a quick swim.

I will be at the campgrounds at Sawbill in mid June and may venture out into the BWCA for an overnight with my kids. What should I expect for water temps at that time of year. I imagine it would still be cold, but still want to jump in the water if the air temp is warm enough.
Also how is the fishing at that time?
Thanks

I was up there the third week of June last year and went swimming in Gillis, which is obviously bigger and deeper than many. The ice had gone out late in May so I expected it to be very chilly, but thought it was surprisingly comfortable.
That campground is very nice, but hope you do get a chance to go in overnight. If you get to one of the smaller lakes like Flame, Smoke (east) or maybe Ella or Beth (west) they should warm up quicker. Good luck!
