Hello again!

I'm trying to find a few books or web sources for us to use and read up on during our upcoming trip. Can you recommend anything that would aid in wildlife/flora identification in BWCA/Quetico?

We're also looking for anything on general history and pictographs.

I found Stensaas’ Canoe Country Flora and Canoe Country Widlife books provided good overviews of their topics. There is a link to the first in the Books section of this web site.

+1 on the Stensaas flora book.
"Lichens of the North Woods" by Joe Walewski. This is a field guide book with color photos.
"Birds of Minnesota Field Guide" by Stan Tekiela. It has color photos.
Here's an offbeat recommendation, not strictly limited to BWCA/Quetico wildlife: "A Field Guide to Animal Tracks" by Olaus J. Murie. It has drawings of tracks and scat, including dimensions.
