Last September we took Good Creek from Hoist Bay back to Good Lake. Can't even call it a paddle - at least 3/4ths of it was shallow enough that we had to scoot our way through. There were also 3-4 small beaver dams to pull over. In times of higher water, it wouldn't be too bad, but it was a bit low when we were there.

Is the river between Ella Hall and Good navigable?

No. I know on some maps it shows a creek with no name, but it is more of a swamp. 4 mile portage does but might not be cleared. Winter travels will sometime clear 4 mile portage. As for this year I don't know if it got cleared.
