Have short (4 days, 3 nights) planned entry at Ram Lake. Was taking my cousin for his first trip but he injured himself and backed out yesterday. Have booked full outfitting at Rockwood in Gunflint area with possibility of partial. I checked with the airlines but wouldn't allow my Winonah as a carry on. Casual trip with excellent moose siting prospects and some good fishing. I have the permit. This is a 1 Permit a day entry and no one has taken the 2 days before or day after so should be pretty quiet there. There are not many portages with 1 difficult and a couple of moderates. Bunk room reserved on the 30th with entry on the 1st. Off water on the 4th with bunk room reserved. Trek is point to point ending at Rockwood Lodge.
