I can't speak for this year but I was on Ada creek last year, in a light solo. From my expierence you will have to portage most, if not all, of Ada Creek. It is a swampy knee/foot sucking, rock hopping portage, but it could be worse. Just smile as you're doing it. :-)

Was there in June. We smiled going north and smiled even more when we headed south. Do what LindenTree says.

Currently Ada Creek is a muddy portage (think mid-calf deep mud), and Cherokee Creek is totally navigable in a canoe.

What is the water level like on the Ada creek and Cherokee creek? Are we able to paddle them or do we have to portage? Thank you!

Worked best for us when we left canoe loaded, paddled when we could, lined when we couldn't.

Cherokee Creek is deep and always paddle worthy. When water is high on Ada Creek, the portages are shorter. When water is low, the portages get longer with more mud exposed, but the paddling sections are almost always doable. Same with the Temperance River if you're talking from South Temperance down to Baker. It has not been drought conditions to dry things out that bad, and they just had some good rains.
