I can't give away all the secrets but my guess is if you don't know.... you might not be old enough.

I would recommend dragging around a 6inch rubber worm with a 24inch steel leader. Walleye love the worms and you won't get bit off by pike. HPP is also a safe bet to attract eyes during all times of the day.
Careful on the rocky parts of the portage. You'd hate for one of those newbies to slip and crack their head open on the canoe.

Hello Group! I am heading to Stuart next Saturday for a few days. Has anybody been to Stuart recently? How is the water level on the river on the way in (beaver dams?), and is there enough current to have the falls flowing into the lake? I have been to Stuart about a dozen times, but will have five newbies with me on this trip. Just getting a feel for what we are looking at. Thanks in advance.
