Don't bother fishing in Ottertrack. Everywhere else is good. Enjoy seeing the cliffs of Ottertrack, though. You're welcome.

I usually travel into Quetico from the Gunflint, however, this year the border may not open in time. So, plan B is a BWCA trip. I was thinking about heading west along Ottertrack and then south into Knife around Eddy Falls. I've never been in that area so any information about that section of the BW would be great.

I have a feeling it's a popular area but it looks like there are several good campsites for our group of 4. Possibly some good day trips from there and great fishing around the falls. We plan to base camp for 5 days.

We are going the second week of August and any help would be great.

Make sure you visit Thunder Point. (The spit of land that separates Knife from South Arm of Knife.). There is a trail to the top and a great view of the border.

Eddy Falls is a must. There are many trails that lead back to the falls from points along the portage. August can have a lot less water flowing over the falls.

Walk up to the top of the portage and look back over SAK and the cliffs from there.

The little lakes south of SAK (Eddy, Jenny, and Annie) are scenic paddles for a day trip.

If the Northern Tier/Boy Scout camp is open, there are a lot of large groups that pass through from there. It is a busy place in August.
