I have a feeling it's a popular area but it looks like there are several good campsites for our group of 4. Possibly some good day trips from there and great fishing around the falls. We plan to base camp for 5 days. We are going the second week of August and any help would be great. Terry |

Eddy Falls is a must. There are many trails that lead back to the falls from points along the portage. August can have a lot less water flowing over the falls. Walk up to the top of the portage and look back over SAK and the cliffs from there. The little lakes south of SAK (Eddy, Jenny, and Annie) are scenic paddles for a day trip. If the Northern Tier/Boy Scout camp is open, there are a lot of large groups that pass through from there. It is a busy place in August. |
