Hello,

We are planning an out and back from Kawishiwi Lake to Adams Lake, and spending a couple nights at the island campsite. Hopefully the island is available, but if it isn't, how are the other campsite at Adams Lake (there aren't many reviews of the others, which hopefully means the island is usually available?)

We should have enough days for a rather leisurely pace so if anyone has any suggestions of other lakes where it might be worth spending an extra night, or any detours on the way to or from Adams, I'd love to hear about those too!

My favorite campsite in the BWCA.

The one to the east of the island....on the big point, is not bad. It's a little climb up a hill but has some nice views. The far east site is just ok......flat, near the water, hill behind it blocks wind so it looks hot and buggy in there. Some good fishing along that bank though. Haven't checked the western sites, but I've heard they're not so good.
