Nothing is going to change this season with the bear situation on those lakes. It is good to remember also that most all of the campsites in your intended area have very few trees large enough to deploy a barrel or pack high enough to meet the new rule, 12 feet.
If you are entering through Saganaga consider an alternate area to head for. Maybe a first camp way up in the islands on Sag and then on to Ester. Hanging your food might keep a bear from getting it, but it won't keep it out of your camp. Camping on the west end of Seagull, Alpine and Red Rock is just asking for trouble IMHO.
