There’s whitewater on the basswood river. Not advisable typically, water levels will be too low this year.

There's moving water/rapids at nearly every portage between Birch and Knife lakes. Obviously most canoes portage around it, but I've heard of a few trying it going downstream. Not a real wide stream in places.

A couple of my kids and I will be heading in through Moose Lake in a canoe and coming back out the same way. Going in with my brother-in-law and his family. Will be in for 7 days. I think we are heading northeast.

Now I have a Middle Fork Salmon packrafting trip immediately after I get back home, and then a South Fork Flathead trip immediately after that. So in the boundary waters I'm looking to maybe stop by a spot, inflate my packraft and get in a little whitewater. Doesn't have to be anything crazy - 100 yards of Class II that I could lap would be great. Heck, even moving water would be nice. Basically looking to maintain my current paddling form/shape a bit.

Anything like that in this area?

Makes sense. Thanks for the warning. We'll see if I find anything

Especially this year. Water levels seem low in many places.
