I will be finishing my trip by coming through Basswood to Fall Lake next week. Does anyone know how far up from Fall Lake I could get a cell signal to call for my pickup? I have ATT. Thanks.

I had coverage (ATT) on Pipestone Bay about half way up between Pipestone Falls and New York Island a few years ago.

I am not sure what outfitter you are dealing with, but you should have a pre-arranged meeting time and plan accordingly. The cell phone may be a backup if something goes wrong like high winds, etc.

I was getting one bar of reception on United States Point last week. I have Verizon, but their coverages are almost identical up there.

I was at the top of Jackfish into Upper Basswood Falls area and had signal with my att service. That was 2019.

Thank you for the replies. I was able to use my phone to call and text my wife from the Lewis Narrows on Pipestone Bay. Everything worked out well.

This year I was able to get service halfway down Jackfish Bay, surprisingly. Also scored service at lewis narrows and most of Pipestone. I have AT&T....

Not sure in that section, but I had coverage on Indiana Lake, through Back Bay and Hoist Bay...

In the era of TDMA, I got 4 bars on Ranger Bay with ATT and a chunky Nokia phone. Ah, the good old days when all phones did was make voice calls....
