Map shows its northward progress. Looks like it has burned halfway to the Echo. Hopefully, it can be contained soon.

"...the fire has burned about ten acres northwest of Bezhik Lake and west of Big Moose Lake."
'Heads up' to anyone with a Moose River South or Little Indian Sioux River South permit.

That article says it’s now 1600 acres, which is 2.5 square miles

BEZHIK FIRE UPDATE:
??The Bezhik Fire has been very active this afternoon with a south wind. It has made a big push to the north towards the Moose Loop Road south of the Echo Trail on the La Croix Ranger District.
?? We have been flying water dropping aircraft on the fire all afternoon.
?? The fire is currently estimated at 1,635 acres in size. We will continue to provide updates.

Now, they are saying it’s about 950 acres, so at least it doesn’t appear to be growing.

If it jumps the road....there go a whole pile of permits

Hopefully it doesn't go that far

"Moose River South EP now closed. Contact the LaCroix Ranger District for alternatives."

This may be perceived as a rather overlooked entry point, and with only one group per day allowed, but in these crazy times, the reservation system shows several weeks ahead when this one, too, is booked fairly solid.

Good on ya to those fighting this thing.

Recent reports on the radio suggest that they are getting this under control. Weather is shifting to rain and overcast which should help.
