We are doing a trip up the gunflint but our outfitters isn’t on our way home so looking for options of places for a post trip shower? Any recommendations near grand marais/lutsen/tofte etc area?

Check with the municipal campground in downtown Grand Marais....they used to allow non campers use the shower house for a modest fee......very nice shower house.

This is a great stop.

This is probably the most likely option. You could also try Lamb's Resort in Schroeder. They have a shower house in their campground and might be willing to do the same thing.

I think we used showers at the tofte campground? I might be wrong, but I think this is where we went. It was right by a lake.

Tuscarora Outfitters has a very nice, brand new shower house. Great little spot to stop on your way back to Grand Marais. Not far from Trail Center for dinner after your shower on the way home.

If that's where everyone parks their RV's on the lake, just south of GM, that's where we shower. I think they have 3 separate shower buildings. We often get there in the afternoon, and sometimes they are cleaning one or another. We like the big one by the ball field, towards the southern end of camp.
I think they charge like $4 a person.

The YMCA is also an option-at least it was pre-covid. My favorite place no longer exists; I miss the muni pool! Loved going there for a shower, swim and sauna post trip.
