What breed is your handsome dog?"

He’s an English Cream golden retriever.

Thanks

Had issues moving over the larger files. Garmin didn’t seem to want to accept files over a certain size or amount of waypoints when I tried. Things might have changed though but it was frustrating.

Your friend could group the waypoints you want into a collection on his account and then send you the gpx file. For what you did on his.

I load the large dataset into Google Earth (desktop) and drag what I want into a folder. I then export that folder and load it into the online InReach. I have Earthmate on my phone and it Bluetooth's to the InReach and I let the sync happen from online to my phone then to my InReach. If you want me to I can schedule some time and show you how.

Re: moving larger files

I have found success using the Finder (Mac) to copy files directly from the source to appropriate folders within the connected handheld's Garmin window.

But, yes, the GPS Forum

I just got a new Garmin InReach Explorer. Last year I borrowed a friend’s and loved it. I loaded up a bunch of waypoint data on his and am looking to do the same on mine.

My question is: Is there any way to quickly transfer the data contained in the online maps on BWCA.com to my device without going through and adding each one manually? For example, the campsites, portages, entry points etc. all have gps coordinates associated with them. Looking for GPX, KML, or KMZ files.

Thanks,
